From 1km to 10km, to the whole ultra,
Matt would love to run with you.
After two years of preparation and training, this virtual 5km run marks the inaugural day of the first ever Run the Country Ultra!
On September 5th in Launceston, Cornwall, Matt will finally cross the start line of the first ever Run The Country Ultra and he would love you to join him, virtually.
Over 26 days, he will run consecutive ultra marathons to cover 1050km and cross every county of England. On the way, he, and everyone who get involved, will celebrate what is possible when someone changes their mind, using running to recover from depression and maintain positive mental wellness. And when crisis happens, the run will generate greater awareness for critical resources people can depend on and fund their availability, through the CAMPAIGN AGAINST LIVING MISERABLY.
Let’s raise £4000 with this run alone, helping to fuel the live-saving helplines, staffed by professionals at CALM.
Join MATT on any of the runs
FROM 1km TO the whole ultra
Matt doesn’t intend to run 1050km alone; the #RTCU is an opportunity to get out there and run with him. With 21 stages across England, there’s probably a run near you. Join for the 1km warm up, a 5km or further. Stages begin at 8am and there are refuelling stops ever 10-15km. The pace is a steady 7km/hour – or 4.35mph – in Zone 2.
